Dr. Saurabh Saxena
Principal Investigator · BATCH Lab

Researcher. Engineer.
Educator.

I am an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART), IIT Delhi, where I lead the Battery Analytics, Testing, Characterisation, and Health (BATCH) Lab as Principal Investigator and serve as Assistant Coordinator of the Hyundai Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Future Mobility Technology.

Prior to joining IIT Delhi, I worked as a battery algorithm engineer at Apple Inc., USA and as a postdoctoral researcher in the Applied Materials Division at Argonne National Laboratory, USA.

I received my Ph.D. degree (2020) in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA, and B.Tech. degree (2011) in electrical engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi, India.

At BATCH lab, we are building a research program at the intersection of batteries, reliability engineering, and machine learning to create intelligent battery systems of the future.
